| Tendulkar Scores his First ODI 100 against Australia in Colombo 110 off 132 |
Starting his ODI career 5 years back in 1989 against Pakistan, Sachin Tendulkar had to wait for five years to score his first ODI century. And that historic day came on 9th September 1994 in R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo during Singer Cup against Australia when the legendary batsman contributed in India’s victory against Australia by scoring 110 off 132 balls and became man of the match. Tendulkar –who is also known as the little master – had to play 78 ODI matches before he could score his first ODI 100. Afterwards there was no looking back for Tendulkar as this day was the first brick of the tall building of 49 ODI centuries scored by this Cricket genius.
