His journey of 100s began quite a later in his career but he continuously made the centuries once he kicked off. Sachin Tendulkar has scored 100 centuries in ODI and test cricket being 49 in the former and 51 in latter formats. He is the only batsman to have this honor. Furthermore, Tendulkar is the first cricketer who scored 200 runs in ODI. His number of 100s would have been much higher had he not been dismissed 18 being the victim of nervous 90s. 33 of his 49 ODI centuries have successfully contributed in India’s victory over the rival teams.
We are going to provide the complete list of his 49 ODI centuries with necessary details.
12. 117 off 137 Against New Zealand in Bengalore
1997 was the year when India was celebrating golden jubilee of her independence from the rule of Great Britain and in commemoration of this, inter alia, India had organized the Pepsi Independence Cup, a quadrangular cricket tournament. On the third match of the same, which was held at M. Chinnaswami Stadium, Bangalore, between India and New Zealand, Sachin Tendulkar made his 12th ODI century. He made 117 runs off 137 balls and –as a Captain –led team India to the victory and received the Man of the Match award for that fabulous performance.
