His journey of 100s began quite a later in his career but he continuously made the centuries once he kicked off. Sachin Tendulkar has scored 100 centuries in ODI and test cricket being 49 in the former and 51 in latter formats. He is the only batsman to have this honor. Further, he has waved his bat –after making centuries – against all teams that have permanent ODI status in International Cricket Council (ICC). Furthermore, Tendulkar is the first cricketer who scored 200 runs in ODI. His number of 100s would have been much higher had he not been dismissed 18 being the victim of nervous 90s. 33 of his 49 ODI centuries have successfully contributed in India’s victory over the rival teams.
We are going to provide the complete list of his 49 ODI centuries with necessary details.
5. 125 off 138, Against Kenya in Cuttack
With only one century in 1995 the journey of centuries had a pause until February 18, 1996 when Tendulkar made his 5th ODI century against Kenya in the 1996 ICC World Cup in Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. On that day Tendulkar made a contribution of unbeatable 125 runs off 138 balls in the victory of India against Kenya and in recognition of this great performance the little Cricket genius was rewarded to be the Man of the Match. This was Sachin’s first ever century in any ICC World Cup.
