Manuka Oval; One of the Oldest Sport Stadiums in Australia

Manuka Oval Stadium is
the multipurpose sports stadium at Griffith, Canberra the Capital of Australia.
The stadium –which is primarily used for Cricket and Australia Rules Football –
has the seating capacity of up to 16,000 spectators. The stadium –for being
construction in 1920s – is one of the oldest stadiums in Australia. The first
Cricket match played in Manuka Oval was in April 13, 1930. The first Cricket ODI
was played here on March 10, 1992 between South Africa and Zimbabwe and –until now
– the last Cricket ODI has been played between Australia and New Zealand on December
6, 2016. The Manuka Oval Stadium’s up gradation began in 2011 after which theStadium was equipped with modern media facilities, extra seating and floodlight
for day and night cricket.
